Since then, I have learned more about swiss chard and some ways to prepare it that make it SO GOOD!
And if you live by me and are interested in sampling some chard- I just so happen to have a fridge FULL of it. (And by full I mean I've been cycling through these recipes for the past month trying to be resourceful and use our bounty, and I still have a ton.) So I'll share- let me know.
Here are some of my favorites:

*Splurge on a good bacon- I love Applegate Farms brand. It's really good- and you only need half of the package- So while it's pricier, it will last for two meals. (We freeze the other half for the next time we make this.) This recipe makes a ton! (And you can also use spinach if you don't have any swiss chard)
You can also throw it in a green smoothie, but it needs to be a pretty sweet smoothie to mask the chard. (Ex. add an extra banana or some stevia) If you're used to green smoothies, you like it just fine, and it's an easy way to vary your greens. If you are new to green smoothies, you can taste the chard more than spinach and you probably will not like it.
